Yahrzeit Observed – Feb 2011

We just observed Avi’s yahrzeit, marking a year since Avi passed away.

Though this has been a difficult time for us, we are strengthened by the wonderful community of family and friends who are committed to help us continue to move Avi’s legacy forward. A group of about 60 friends and family members joined us at the cemetery on Sunday, February 13.

We are encouraged that more than 80 Hillels and dozens of synagogues participated in an Avi Schaefer Shabbat just a few weeks ago, dedicated to honoring Avi’s memory and celebrating the fact that one motivated individual can make a difference.
