Educational Programs for North American Jewish Youth
ASF has developed an educational curriculum dedicated to help North American Jewish youth learn from and be inspired by Avi’s life and work. The program includes discussions on issues related to Israel, peacemaking, and Jewish role modeling. The curriculum, designed to be used by Jewish summer camps, youth groups, day schools, and Israel programs can be adapted for your particular use.
ASF has been invited to both Camp Ramah in Ojai, California as well as Camp Hess Cramer in Malibu and presented its curriculum to over 300 Jewish youth. Response to the program was outstanding and we are excited to develop and expand on this new beginning.
Avi’s story can be used to motivate, educate and inspire young Jews. While the Fund has begun to develop programs and make them available through the website, other educators have shared Avi’s story in their own way. Here are a few reflections from those individuals to give you ideas of how you too can incorporate Avi’s story into your work.
